How much does an ecommerce website cost and what is included?
Online store development with Skynix starts at $2,000. The base price includes: catalog design (product structure, smart filters, product cards and a fast order checkout); a responsive design based on ready-made themes built for conversion and shopping convenience; Stripe and PayPal payments (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay); shipping rate and carrier modules for UPS, USPS, FedEx and DHL; and content upload and launch, with an initial import of up to 30 products from the databases you provide, order testing, staff training and the store launch. Estimated separately: design customizations, automatic sales tax and VAT calculation (TaxJar, Avalara), two-way synchronization of stock and prices with a CRM, ERP or accounting system (HubSpot, Salesforce, QuickBooks, Xero), SMS order updates via Twilio, email marketing via Mailchimp or Klaviyo, Facebook and Instagram Shop and Google Merchant Center feeds, and larger product imports. The final price is agreed before work starts. Optional hosting and support is $320 per month. WooCommerce is generally the more economical platform to build and run, while Magento suits complex catalogs and larger budgets.
Is $2,000 the exact price, or can it change?
$2,000 is the starting cost of an online store. The final estimate depends on the chosen CMS (WooCommerce or Magento), the catalog size and the number of integrations.
WooCommerce or Magento — which should I choose?
WooCommerce is for a fast launch, catalogs of up to several thousand products and convenient day-to-day management. Magento is for tens of thousands of SKUs, complex logistics, multilingual and multi-currency support and high loads. We will recommend the best option for your scale before work starts.
Which payment, shipping and marketing services can be connected?
Stripe and PayPal payments (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and shipping modules for UPS, USPS, FedEx and DHL are part of the base price. Estimated individually: automatic sales tax and VAT calculation (TaxJar, Avalara), SMS order notifications via Twilio, email marketing (Mailchimp, Klaviyo), social and ad channels (Facebook and Instagram Shop, Google Merchant Center, Pinterest feeds, social login) and other providers on request.
Can the store be synchronized with a CRM or an accounting system?
Yes. We set up two-way exchange of stock, prices and orders with a CRM (for example HubSpot or Salesforce), an ERP or your accounting system (for example QuickBooks or Xero). This is discussed and estimated individually.
Who will fill the store with products?
Content upload is part of the launch process: we import products from the databases you provide (up to 30 items in the base price; larger quantities are discussed separately), test order placement, train your team and only then launch the store.
How long does it take to build an online store?
It depends on the chosen CMS, the size of the catalog and the number of integrations. After discussing your project we give an estimate and fix the timeline of each stage in the contract.
What does the $320/month hosting and support include?
Weekly backups, regular security updates and patches for the store platform, themes and plugins, and minor source-code fixes and adjustments — up to 6 hours per month.
Why does store hosting and support cost more than for a static page?
An online store needs regular backups and regular upgrades of the platform, themes and plugins regardless of whether the client asks for them, because security is at stake. That requires development and testing, and the hosting itself needs significantly more resources than a static page.
Can I host the store myself?
Yes. The "Store only" option is hosted on your own hosting. In that case backups, updates and security patches are handled on your side or by your own technical team.
What if I need something that is not in the package?
Tell us in the form at the end of the page. We will discuss your catalog, platform and the integrations you need, and prepare an individual estimate before work starts.
How does payment work?
You can pay the starting price online by card through a secure Stripe checkout (Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link are also available) and receive an official invoice from Skynix by email. With the hosting package you pay $2,320 today ($2,000 plus the first $320 month) and then $320 per month. If your project needs more than the base package, we agree on the final estimate before work starts.
