Challenges faced by the business
Eevelle and National Covers handle thousands of SKUs and process large volumes of traffic, especially during seasonal promotions. The legacy codebase presented stability risks, while the growing business required rapid rollout of new features and optimizations.

Multiple components of the system were tightly coupled, limiting scalability and making updates risky. Pages were slow to load, especially on mobile devices, impacting user experience and conversions.
No versioning or CI/CD pipeline was in place, making deployments error-prone.
We introduced structured deployments, split responsibilities across services, and implemented caching, security, and tracking improvements. Our team became the go-to technical partner for new feature releases and urgent fixes.
Custom eCommerce optimization and feature development
We conducted a comprehensive modernization of the platform’s frontend templates to improve visual consistency, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility across devices. Our design and development teams restructured key user journeys—especially the product listing, product detail, and checkout flows—to ensure frictionless navigation and higher engagement.
On the backend, we refactored inefficient database queries, introduced indexing strategies, and reduced unnecessary API calls, resulting in significantly faster page generation and improved server response times.
In terms of new functionality, we implemented advanced shipping calculators with conditional logic to handle complex product dimensions and locations. We also added dynamic filtering for better product discovery, integrated upsell modules that boost average order value, and enhanced cross-sell algorithms tied to real-time inventory and user behavior.

Key areas of improvement
Performance – Load time reduced by 47%, implemented full-page caching and asset minification
UX & Features – Improved mobile flow, added upsell/filters, streamlined checkout
Stability – CI/CD pipelines, failover logic, version control, uptime monitoring
